Photography is intrinsically linked with emotion and it is this relationship that motivates the photographer to pick up the camera and press the shutter button. In this moment, an attempt is made to capture an image that retains the excitement experienced. A wedding is one such event that combines the most extreme feelings. Expressions of joy, tears of emotion, sorrow for the familiar which is passing away alongside apprehension for the new and unknown. The complete range of emotional states varies and requires real artistry from the photographer to capture subtle moments worthy of being presented in photographic form to be viewed for years to come.
Where, better then to find such a wealth of mixed emotions than at a wedding ceremony where young couples write the script and without them, this day would not make sense. This poses a challenge for the photographer who needs to consistently maintain the same level of enthusiasm and excitement.
